Sustainable holidays

‘Sustainability is about perseverance, not perfection.’

As the Mayrhofer host family, we strive to manage the Brigitte guesthouse in a way that ensures future generations have a beautiful, liveable home and an intact natural environment.

Heating, electricity and consumption:

We have a solar system on the roof of our house that was integrated directly into the roof in 2000. We use this system to heat our hot water.

Our photovoltaic system, which has been in operation since 2010, generates electricity that is fed into the power grid.

All light sources are equipped with energy-saving lamps.

In the evening and at night, we refrain from lighting our house so that we can enjoy the starry sky on clear nights.

Waste separation:

There are large bins in the garage for separating waste.

Cleaning:

We use cleaning products from Jemako and detergent from Hollu.

These companies are committed to sustainability and continuous product development.

Our MicroCleaner then supports basic cleaning.

Water:

The water in Radstadt is of a high quality.

All of our sanitary facilities are up to date and therefore water-efficient.

We water our flower-filled garden with collected rainwater from the rain barrel.

The little things that make a big difference:

In our flats, we use Claro dishwasher tablets with a water-soluble film that are palm oil-free. We use tea towels and dishcloths that can be washed in the washing machine again and again.

We use washing-up liquid from Frosch and toilet paper made from 100% recycled paper.

The guest folder is available online.

How you can help as a guest:

Please separate your rubbish.

Fill in your guest details online before you arrive using the pre-check-in system. You will receive a welcome email from us a few days before your arrival.

You can access the guest card and holiday companion Paul on your mobile phone.

When leaving the apartment, please ensure that all lights and electrical appliances are switched off.
